In a world that often rushes past, we wanted to create something quiet – small pauses where both little and big hearts can breathe a little slower.
We know how easily children’s rooms can fill with colors, sounds and impressions. Our motifs are painted to bring calm to the space – a quiet corner where a child can simply land.
That is why we paint stories by hand – inspired by nature, our own children and the world of storytelling.
Art that whispers rather than shouts. That rests beside sleepy eyes and curious hands.
Timeless motifs with meaning
Every motif is hand-painted in watercolor, with brushstrokes that are allowed to take their time. Each collection grows slowly, without following trends. They become small companions for children’s rooms, christening gifts and quiet moments.
And if you look closely, you may notice a small stamped heart somewhere on the paper – a gentle greeting to the little hearts we hold closest.

Two mothers – a shared longing
We are Karolina and Malin – sisters-in-law, mothers and creators, united by our love for family, colour and quiet moments.
Little Heart & i took shape in Gothenburg in 2026, born from a belief that art can create meaningful pauses in everyday life. The path here has been shaped by life’s greatest gifts – becoming parents and the joy of creating together. But also by moments of reflection and sorrow that have taught us to slow down and appreciate the little things.
Returning to painting became our way to breathe and find calm again. As parents, we know how valuable it is to have a place where you can simply exhale – and those are the gentle spaces we hope to help you create in a child’s room.
Our hope is that our illustrations can bring a little more stillness, warmth and presence into a child’s room, a reading corner or wherever you create your own quiet refuge. For us, it is not only about art – but about the feeling it leaves in the room.
